Ilja Harvey, Pudding Pie Cookery School
Pudding Pie Cookery School was created one afternoon after cooking with my children and some of their friends. They said that I should do it as a profession.
Having done several different types of children's parties for either my own kids or for friends I thought it could be a great idea.
I studied Catering at the North Oxfordshire College many years ago and had quite a few years experience as a chef. I have the required Food Safety and Hygiene Certificates, £5m Public Liability Insurance and the Local Authority Food Safety Officers have been round to inspect my kitchen to make sure that it's all in pristine condition and have awarded us the Top 5 Star rating.
The name Pudding Pie came from my daughters best friend Alice, who I call 'Alice Palace - Pudding Pie' and I thought it was quite appropriate as a name for my business. I absolutely love cooking and being around people, so this really is the perfect career for me. I am based in Middleton Cheney near Banbury, I will gladly travel free of charge within a 10 mile radius, but I will need to add on a small amount, if you live further than this. I generally cover Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire areas.
