Thermomix Demo – Spaces still available

We have a FREE Thermomix demo running from 6.30 – 9pm on the 25th October, and we still have a few places left.

If you would like to see just what this brilliant kitchen appliance is capable of, just book a place now.

We have plenty of free parking available and refreshments will be served.

Banbury Canal Day

What a wonderful day! Beginning of October and it was so hot …. we had a great day, very busy and served up over 500 food samples throughout the day.

Thanks to everyone that came along to support us, looking forward to next year already.

Alex James – Harvest

Over the weekend we will be at ‘Harvest’ at the farm of Alex James (from Blur). we will be working with the Oxfordshire Waste Partnership cooking up some delicious tasters for people to sample.

The Filming

We had the film crew in over the weekend, filming some recipes and the open day on Saturday.

We filmed recipes for:

  • Chicken Jalfrezi
  • Thai Chicken Noodle Soup
  • Dutch Apple Cake

Month of Madness

Yesterday we completed our final cookery day as part of the Month of Madness events in the village.

We have had great fun over the past 3 weeks and hope the kids (180 of them) have enjoyed themselves too.

Building Work Update

It’s finished!

The new kitchen, private dining room and all fixtures are now in place. We have a group using the new kitchen and dining room on Saturday, so we completed it all just in time.

We will get some pictures and post them very soon. Also we have an open day to plan and will get the date announced soon, so you can pop in and have a look at everything.

Thought it may be a good time to keep you all updated as to what we are up to!

  • The building work is nearing completion, toilets are in, sinks are all plumbed, floors are down and just carrying out some finishing touches before our first event in the new kitchen next week.
  • We have just agreed a sponsorship deal with The Works’ bookstores across the UK, giving a lucky winner the chance of a cupcake party when they buy a new kids cupcake book.
  • We will soon be running school holiday classes for children in Middleton Cheney as part of the local authority organised Month of Madness and look forward to that again.
  • We have just launched a new Intensive / Chalet Maid class, offering a one, two or five day intensive one-to-one class with our chef.
  • Now the new kitchen is almost finished we are about to start filming work with an Oxford and Northamptonshire based company, so keep an eye out for more news on that.

The new Fire Door Goes In

We have the new opening in to satisfy the fire regs, now it’s time to put all the fittings in place.

The new flooring is due in soon, the windows are being done next week, then it’s time to get in the electrician and we are on our way to having a working kitchen.

Building Work

Just a quick update on the building work!

We have now finished all the new stud walls and the space for a new toilet etc. We will soon be opening up the access to upstairs that will become a meeting/dining area for our private dining experiences’ & corporate meetings etc.

We hope to start decorating within the next week and then it’s getting all the equipment in place, all going well we should be done in 4 weeks. You can check out some of the latest photo’s here.

We will be having a big open day where you can come along and see the new look cookery school, have a drink and try some of our food, details to follow soon.

School Summer Holiday Classes

We have just posted the dates for our School Holiday Cookery Classes for children. These are already filling up, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
