We were so lucky with great weather at the Chipping Norton Farmers Market today. We had a great response from the public and The Oxfordshire Waste Partnership got a lot of people to sign up and support their campaign.

Great success for our first day of the ‘Tasty Treats Hits The Streets’ campaign against food wastage with Oxfordshire Waste Partnership. A series of Cookery demonstrations will be taking to Oxfordshire streets over the coming weeks. Organised by Oxfordshire Waste Partnership (OWP) and run by Pudding Pie Cookery School, these events highlight simple and tasty ways to use up leftovers, with the aim of saving the average family around £50pm on their shopping bill.

Oxfordshire Waste Partnership in association with the Love Food Hate Waste Campaign, have asked us to help them run various Food Waste Awareness days, over the coming months.
Visiting many different locations and events across Oxfordshire, we will be running demonstrations on how to re-use, what is currently considered waste food. Did you know the average Oxfordshire household wastes £420 worth of good food every year? Or to put it another way for every three bags of shopping we buy, one of those goes straight in the bin! Something we are all hoping we can help to change!

We have tried very hard over the years, to ensure we are doing our bit for the environment. We have always recycled our waste and used planet friendly cleaning products. We ensure that the crops we grow are Organic and we only use organic fertilizers and compost.
We have now managed to move all our Party Invites and Flyers over to Eco-Paper from FSC Managed Forrests and all our Party Bags are 100% recyclable, we even use Bio-Degradable Bin Bags to take any rubbish away!
Attended the Food Festival today in Oxford, really hot sunny day, had a great time, kids were all having fun cooking and the food demo’s were great to watch.

There is clear and growing evidence for the protective effects of fruit and vegetables against chronic diseases. Eating at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day on average could lead to estimated reductions of up to 20% in overall deaths from chronic diseases such as coronary heart disease, stroke and some cancers.
We are very pleased that many schools are trying to gain ‘Healthy Eating Status‘ and we are happy to be able to assist them in this. By teaching children at a young age to eat healthy and nutritious food, we can have a huge impact on their future health and lifestyle.
