About the Ingredients & Suppliers we use ..

Ingredients

All our ingredients are organic, fair trade, home grown or the best locally available to us. We don’t use ingredients with any sweeteners, additives, artificial flavourings or colourings.

If you like to eat quality prepared ingredients, we have also put together some reviews of the restaurants we have eaten at and would happily recommend.

Recycling

We are also conscious about our impact on the environment, which is why all our flyer’s are printed on Eco Paper (from FSC Managed Forests), our party invites and business cards are made from 100% recycled material and they are all printed using water based or vegetable oil inks.

We recycle all our waste either through Local Authority schemes or through our own composting, the bin bags we use to take away all the party rubbish are 100% degradable and the party bags are 100% recyclable, we have also sourced a floor for our kitchen made using recycled plastic bottles.

All the disinfectants and anti-bacterial cleaners we use in our cookery school kitchen are environmentally friendly, even our (green) saucepans are made using minerals rather than plastics.

Supporting Campaigns

We feel it is important to know where all our food comes from. As a family, we want to be sure we are eating foods that are good for us and be certain they have come from a well managed source. We are also very keen to ensure we do not throw away food that is often considered unusable. We are therefore keen to support campaigns like Love Food Hate Waste & Chicken Out.

Suppliers

We only ever use local reputable suppliers, this way we can be sure of the origin of all our ingredients. Some of the suppliers we use are:

	Roots Local They guarantee a variety of best quality, great tasting and fresh produce. Using a selection of  local, regional and British goods. They offer a great service and you can even shop on-line!
	Shipton Mill The home of the finest and widest variety of Speciality Flours. They mill a range of organic flour of exceptional quality, without haste and with scrupulous care. We use their Flour for all our baking, courses and parties.
	Rachel’s Farm Shop They’ve been fully Organic since 2010, with no chemicals on the land and animals have wormers/medicines only when they need it.  The animals are all free range. Situated just outside of Brackley a perfect place to source your meat.
	Leonardo De Felice Based in Beaumont Road in Banbury, wholesale suppliers of quality Italian ingredients. 01295 265684. Excellent choice, great value and friendly staff, worth a visit.

	M & J Seafood M&J Seafood grew organically to become the UK’s largest independent seafood supplier by the 1990s, supplying a first class local service to over 12,000 chefs nationwide.
	Ocado Providing a good alternative to traditional supermarket shopping. With ‘green’ delivery slots saving precious fuel, while reducing traffic on our busy roads.
	Limes Farm – Shop Nestled in the heart of Farthinghoe village between Brackley and Banbury. The farm has been in the family for nearly 200 hundred years keeping old farming traditions alive. There is also a lovely Tea Shop to relax in after your shopping!
	The Bag N Box Man Ltd Based in Shutford near Banbury, a packaging supermarket, supplying bags and boxes plain or printed. They also have a large range of bio-degradable and catering products in stock.
