How Pudding Pie Cookery School was born!

I studied and qualified in Catering at the North Oxfordshire College before going on to work as a Chef and then Executive Chef for two Pub/Restaurants.

I created the Cookery School one afternoon, after cooking with my children and some of their friends. The parents suggested that I should do it as a profession.

Having done several different types of children’s parties and adult dinner parties, for either my own kids or for friends, I thought it could be a great idea.

After a lot of research and ground work to ensure that our premises etc were up to scratch and all legalities were covered, I launched the business!

Due to a huge demand for our services in 2010 we found the perfect premises to open our very own purpose built teaching kitchens and meeting venue, as a result we have expanded our team and are now able to offer all of our services within our own venue.

With a lot of my time being taken up with local TV, radio, writing for food columns and running Illy’s Kitchen, we started to expand the Pudding Pie team, as a result of this, we now have staff that can cover many areas of the UK.

Pudding Pie Cookery School was born!

The name Pudding Pie, came from a friend of my daughters, who I called ‘Alice Palace – Pudding Pie’ and I thought it was quite appropriate as a name for my business. I absolutely love cooking and being around people, so this really is the perfect career for me.

English_Ratings5All our team have the required Food Safety and Hygiene Certificates, £5m Public Liability Insurance, St Johns Ambulance Emergency First Aid at Work Certificates, plus the relevant Enhanced CRB checks.

I welcome any feedback about our services and would love to hear your comments.
