How Pudding Pie Cookery School was born!
I studied and qualified in Catering at the North Oxfordshire College before going on to work as a chef and then Executive Chef for two Pub/Restaurants.
I created the Cookery School one afternoon, after cooking with my children and some of their friends. The parents suggested that I should do it as a profession.
Having done several different types of children’s parties and adult dinner parties, for either my own kids or for friends, I thought it could be a great idea.
After a lot of research and ground work to ensure that our premises etc were up to scratch and all legalities were covered, I launched the business!
Pudding Pie Cookery School was born!
The name Pudding Pie, came from a friend of my daughters, who I called ‘Alice Palace - Pudding Pie’ and I thought it was quite appropriate as a name for my business. I absolutely love cooking and being around people, so this really is the perfect career for me. I am based in Middleton Cheney near Banbury, I will gladly travel free of charge within a 10 mile radius, but I will need to add on a small amount, if you live further than this. I generally cover Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire ,Worcestershire and Warwickshire areas. If you live outside these areas please contact me for a quote.
I have the required Food Safety and Hygiene Certificates, £2m Public Liability Insurance plus all relevant CRB checks.
The Local Authority Food Safety Officers have been round to inspect my kitchen to make sure that it’s all in pristine condition and have awarded me the Top 5 Star rating.
