How Pudding Pie Cookery School was born!

I created the Cookery School one afternoon, after cooking with my children and some of their friends. The parents suggested that I should do it as a profession.

Having done several different types of children’s parties, for either my own kids or for friends, I thought it could be a great idea. After an awful lot of research and ground work to ensure that our premises etc were up to scratch, I launched the business!

Pudding Pie Cookery School was born!

I studied Catering at the North Oxfordshire College many years ago and had quite a few years experience as a chef and then Executive Chef for two Pub/Restaurants. I am currently studying for a Diploma in Nutrition & Diets and also have the required Food Safety and Hygiene Certificates, £2m Public Liability Insurance, CRB Checks and the Local Authority Food Safety Officers have been round to inspect my kitchen to make sure that it’s all in pristine condition and have awarded me the Top 5 Star rating.

The name Pudding Pie, came from a friend of my daughters, who I called  ‘Alice Palace - Pudding Pie’ and I thought it was quite appropriate as a name for my business. I absolutely love cooking and being around people, so this really is the perfect career for me. I am based in Middleton Cheney near Banbury, I will gladly travel free of charge within a 10 mile radius, but I will need to add on a small amount, if you live further than this. I generally cover Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire ,Worcestershire and Warwickshire areas. If you live outside these areas please contact me for a quote.
